We will gather to watch the film “Space Torah,” the award-winning documentary about Jewish astronaut Dr. Jeff Hoffman, who participated in five space missions. On his last mission in 1996, Dr. Hoffman brought with him a small Torah scroll on board Space Shuttle Columbia, and on Shabbat, while orbiting Earth, he read from the book of Genesis. Following the screening of the film, attendees will participate in an on-line conversation with the film’s Executive Producer Rachel Raz.
Attendees are invited to join together again on Tuesday, December 13 at 7:00PM, to enjoy an on-line Q&A session with the NASA astronaut profiled in the film, Dr. Hoffman.
