This past summer, following the brutal death of George Floyd, we saw the largest outpouring of social protests for racial justice our country has experienced. Black and white, Jew and Gentile, male and female, gay and straight turned out in record numbers to demonstrate concern for justice and to push for living up to our country’s highest values. Yet the protests also provoked controversy and raised complicated questions on how we talk about and understand race. On the day we commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., join us as we attempt to unpack some of the complexities that often transcend the rhetoric of right and left.
